Community Football Tournament Format

Group Stage:

– Divide the six teams into two groups of three.

– Each team plays against the other teams in their group once.

– Matches can be scheduled over a specified time frame.

Knockout Stage:

– The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage.

– Semi-finals: The winners of Group A play the runners-up of Group B, and vice versa.

– Final: The winners of the semi-finals compete for the championship.

Tournament Rules:
  1. Team Composition:

        All teams have to pay £10 entree fee per team use reference team name

     Each team consists of 7 players (6 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper).

     Substitutions are allowed and can be made during stoppages in play.

  1. Match Duration:

   – Matches consist of 12 minutes duration.

   – The exact duration can be adjusted based on tournament logistics.

  1. Offside Rule:

   – The offside rule is not applied.

  1. Fouls and Misconduct:

   – Standard football rules apply for fouls and misconduct.

   – Free kicks are awarded for fouls, and yellow/red cards can be shown for misconduct.

  1. Penalty Kicks:

   – Penalty kicks are awarded for certain fouls committed inside the penalty area.

  1. Tiebreakers:

   – In the event of a tie in group matches:

     – Goal difference

     – Goals scored

     – Head-to-head result

     – Penalty shootout (if necessary)

  1. Equipment:

   – All players must wear appropriate football attire (shirts, shorts, socks, shin guards, and Astro turf football boots).

   – The tournament organiser provides football bibs

   – The tournament organiser provides the match balls.

  1. Fair Play and Sportsmanship:

   – Encourage fair play and sportsmanship among all participants.

   – Respect the decisions of referees and tournament officials.

  1. Award ceremonies

         Winner (18+ Category): Awarded on the stage to the team that emerges victorious in the adult (18 years and older) category. Medals for run ups team .

         Winner (U18 Category): Awarded on the stage to the team that emerges victorious in the under 18 (U18) category. Medals for run ups team .

         Best Fair Play Team: Acknowledging the team that demonstrates exceptional sportsmanship and fair play throughout the tournament.  

         Best Player: Honouring the individual player who exhibits outstanding skills, leadership, and contribution to their team’s success.
